Delicious is on the menu

The Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay is dedicated to encouraging a nutritious and healthy lifestyle to all our members, and we do this through a number of ways.

Breakfast Clubs

The Breakfast Club is in cooperation with and sponsored by many valued partners. Thank you to United Way, Breakfast Clubs of Canada, Red Cross Student Nutrition Program and President's Choice Children's Charity for funding the Breakfast Programs! For further information or interest on becoming a Breakfast Club Partner, please contact the Club.

All Breakfast Clubs run 5 days per week from mid-September to the middle of June

Windsor Club

Our after school programs always serve a healthy snack as part of our regular activities. We run Supper Clubs on Fridays which offers a variety of meals for the members. We typically serve 100 children and youth each week. We only have Supper Club on the Single Board PA Days.

Two days per week our staff teach children how to cook meals & desserts through our Looney Spoons Programs.

Vale Unit

Vale runs two Supper Clubs per week, on Tuesday nights and Fridays. Anishnawbe Mushkiki delivers cooking classes every second week for the members.

Everyday a healthy snack is provided to the members before programming starts.

Benefits of the program

With the proper nutrition, students can better meet their educational opportunities. Along with breakfast are educational, environmental and physical program components. Our club members assist with planning, serving and delivering the program, giving hands-on experience and life-long skills.
